Der NABU Kreisverband Gifhorn e.V. erhält in den nächsten drei Jahren finanzielle Unterstützung in Höhe von 6.600€ pro Jahr für die Erhaltung und Wiederherstellung feuchter und trockener Heiden. Ziel des Projektes ist es, stark mit Gehölzen bewachsene Heideflächen freizustellen, um sie als Lebensraum für selten gewordene und gefährdete Tier- und Pflanzenarten zu sichern und den Wasserhaushalt durch die Reduzierung der Verdunstung der Gehölze zu stabilisieren. www.nabu-gifhorn.de
